Overactive Bladder

Overactive bladder (OAB) is characterized by a sudden, difficult-to-defer urge to urinate, often with frequency and nighttime voiding. It significantly impacts quality of life but responds well to a range of behavioral and medical treatments.

Symptoms

  • Sudden, urgent need to urinate
  • Urinating more than 8 times per day
  • Waking at night to urinate (nocturia)
  • Leaking urine before reaching the bathroom
  • Bladder discomfort or pressure
